About Hillbilly Forge
At the heart of our forge, iron is shaped by fire, hammer, and hand.
Hillbilly Forge is a small, family-run blacksmith shop based in the East Midlands, dedicated to keeping the traditional craft of the village blacksmith alive.
We create hand-forged ironwork for hearth, home, outdoors and ritual, from Viking and pagan-inspired jewellery to cookware, fireside tools, bushcraft tools, outdoor cooking equipment and unique decorative ironwork. Every piece is individually crafted by hand using traditional blacksmithing techniques, giving each creation its own character, strength and story.
Alongside our own range, we create bespoke commissioned pieces for those looking for something truly unique - made specifically for you, your home or your needs.
For those who want to experience the craft for themselves, we also offer one-to-one blacksmithing experience sessions in our forge. Whether you're completely new to blacksmithing or simply want to spend time working with fire, steel, hammer and anvil, our individual sessions give you the opportunity to step into the forge, learn traditional techniques and create something with your own hands.

Every session is run one-to-one, giving you uninterrupted time at the anvil and the freedom to work at your own pace. With guidance throughout, you’ll build confidence with each heat, each hammer blow, and each step of the process. Whether given as a gift or taken for yourself, this is time spent learning, shaping, and creating something real - something that lasts.

Step into the forge and experience the heat, hammer and rhythm of traditional blacksmithing for yourself.
Our one-to-one blacksmithing experience sessions are private, hands-on days spent in the working forge with Graham, where you’ll learn traditional techniques and create something with your own hands. Whether you’re completely new to blacksmithing or want to take on a more ambitious project, each session is personal, relaxed and tailored to you.
Our 2026 experience sessions are now fully booked, but we are already taking bookings for January 2027 onwards.
